CPCA Advocates is building a movement that can't be ignored. There are over 2,300 community health centers in California that provide high-quality, comprehensive care to 8 million people – that’s 1 in 5 Californians. Together we can ensure that our health care safety net remains stable and strong. We can’t do this alone! We need to raise our voices together to make sure we are heard and remain a priority for each of our legislators. Sign up today so we can let you know when we need your help! Let's do this together!

Advocacy Tips

Grassroots Office Hours

Do you have questions about grassroots advocacy? Do you have an idea or advocacy plan that you want to brainstorm and review with someone? If so, make sure to attend grassroots office hours. We offer monthly open office hours for all members as an opportunity to drop in and discuss all things advocacy, brainstorm with others, and ask any questions you might have. Email advocacy@CPCAadvocates.org for more information and the monthly invitation.

Advocacy Center of Excellence Program

Are you interested in integrating advocacy into your community health center or are you already doing this work as an organization? If so, check out the Health Center Advocacy Network's Advocacy Center of Excellence (ACE) Program! This program provides national recognition for community health centers that prioritize advocacy in their organization and formalizes advocacy efforts for those interested in expanding in this area. Let's grow the number of California community health centers recognized as Advocacy Centers of Excellence! Reach out to advocacy@CPCAAdvocates.org for more information and support in applying for your organization to become an ACE.

Advocacy Leadership Program

For those interested in expanding their advocacy and leadership skills or finding ways to further integrate advocacy into your work, NACHC’s Advocacy Leadership Program is a great opportunity! The Advocacy Leadership Program is an opportunity open to center staff, health center board members, and primary care association staff. This is a virtual learning experience that supports participants in building and advancing the culture of health center advocacy. If you have any questions about the Advocacy Leadership Program, contact NACHC’s Deputy Director of Grassroots Advocacy at sfrancois@nachc.org.
